A lot of OT reports for NDIS participants do real clinical work and then go nowhere. The OT writes it, sends the PDF, and it lands in an inbox that gets checked once a fortnight, if that. The family who lives with the plan every day often finds out what changed secondhand, or not at all.

Two small things fix most of that: the OT seeing what the family actually cares about before they write, and the finished report reaching the family the moment it's done. Neither needs another app. It needs the ones already in use to talk to each other, with consent.

Write with the family's goals in view

When a family connects to their OT over Clearline Connect, the OT sees the family's About-Me and goals while they write. A report shaped around what the family has actually said matters reads differently to one shaped around a template. The clinical judgement is still entirely the OT's; what changes is what they're looking at while they form it.

The report lands where the family already is

The finished report doesn't go into a shared drive the family has to remember to check. It lands directly in the family's Compass, in their Documents. Any appointment the OT proposes shows up in the family's Appointments tab the same way. No email chain, no re-sending a PDF because the first one got buried.

One connected link, not a new obligation

This runs on one consented Connect link between the OT and the family, the same connected-record model described on why providers move to a connected platform. Nothing is shared by default and nothing is shared silently: each side sees only what the consent allows, the family is the consent owner, and either side can see exactly what's visible to the other. Compass is free for families, always. Scrive is free for OTs and allied health, always.

Where Clearline fits, honestly

This isn't a claims-management feature and it doesn't touch funding or billing. It's a smaller, more human thing: making sure a report a clinician has already written actually reaches the person it's about. The clinical content and judgement stay the OT's. What travels automatically is delivery, not decision-making.

Common questions

Does the family see everything in my clinical notes?
No. Only what the consented Connect link is scoped to share: the family's About-Me and goals are visible to the OT while writing, and the OT's finished reports and proposed appointments are visible to the family in Compass. Each side sees only what the consent allows.

Who has to set this connection up?
Either side can invite the other. The family owns consent for their own connections, and either side can review, adjust, or revoke it at any time.

Does this cost anything?
No. Compass is free for families, always. Scrive is free for OTs and allied health, always. There's no separate charge for connecting the two.
